Dresden: From August 1, 2020, Dr. Frank Schlichting will become the new CEO of Kiwigrid. Dr. Schlichting will take over the Sales and Services divisions from the company’s current COO Matthias Hertel, who will leave Kiwigrid on July 31. With the new management team of Dr. Schlichting and CFO Janek Schuffenhauer, Kiwigrid will continue to push ahead with its product strategy, which is geared to the globally growing market for decentralized energies and the opening up of its platform. 

The Dresden-based company receives stable support from its existing investors, particularly AQTON SE. Additionally, the previously announced financing round has also successfully concluded despite the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Kiwigrid continues to focus on sustainably scaling up and further developing its technologies, products and ecosystem:

With extensive industry knowledge, Dr. Schlichting has held various management positions in the areas of technology and knowledge management, software and product development, sales and marketing, as well as internationalization in the energy industry. Most recently, he held a dual CEO/CTO role at Solare Datensysteme. As Kiwigrid's new CEO, Dr. Schlichting will now continue to drive the company forward as it positions itself as a leading product and platform house for the decentralized energy industry. Specifically, he will lead the development and opening up of the company’s new platform generation KiwiOS X,  as well as the related products The Independent Home and The Electrifying City.
