BayWa r.e. has signed a strategic partnership with Kiwigrid GmbH, one of the leading platforms in Europe for digital energy and e-mobility. “Digitization and the Internet of things offer boundless opportunities. With Kiwigrid at our side, we want to produce scalable business models for our partners and customers,” says Christian Münch, head of BayWa r.e. Solar Energy Systems GmbH.

The starting signal is a complete solution for an intelligent home energy system that includes a flat rate for household electricity. Packages for intelligent charging and data-driven upselling by end customers are currently in the works. On the one hand, the offer is aimed at the partner installers of BayWa r.e. On the other hand, BayWa r.e. will put together white-label packages for municipal utilities and prefabricated house manufacturers.
