connect enlight: envia THERM and Kiwigrid automate reporting for distributed power plants

  • Manual reporting to be replaced by a holistic digital solution
  • New software will also be available to third parties
  • connect enlight was developed as part of the cooperation between the enviaM Group and Kiwigrid

envia THERM simplifies the process of creating reports and submitting them to third parties. connect enlight is the new software that enables easy creation and submission of legally required reports per mouse click. Creation of reports, which was previously done manually, is now set to be replaced by a holistic digital solution.

Operators of renewable energy plants, cogeneration plants, and boiler systems are legally required to submit commercial reports regularly in order to comply with their obligation to provide information to authorities, benefit from financial subsidies, etc.

The newly developed software from envia THERM will now also be available to interested partners.  This enables municipal utilities, district heating companies, as well as industrial and business customers to minimize their bureaucratic burden and also allows them more freedom of action.

The digital solution from envia THERM was developed as part of the cooperation with Kiwigrid GmbH. The IoT (Internet of Things) platform of the Dresden company serves as the technical backbone for the new product.

In addition to basic functions such as meter reading, connect enlight also automates the filling of energy and electricity tax return forms, etc. More forms can also be added to the reports if necessary. The smart software also visualizes meter readings for gas, electricity, and heat in the form of diagrams and key figures, which makes it easier to monitor the plant. The new product supports all standard interfaces for connection of distributed generation systems.

Since the end of 2016, the enviaM Group has been working with Kiwigrid GmbH to develop the Internet of Energy.
